Okay, I uploaded a strip for Sunday, but forgot that my auto-update script on this site skips the weekends. Whoops. So here's a double strip for those of you who don't check out the most recent updates on Graphic Smash.

I wound up without a new strip on Saturday, so you'll have another bonus strip this coming Saturday (also presented as a double strip the following Monday). That takes a bit of drawing pressure off me. Plus, that way I have a fresh strip for everyone who discovers the strip at the con on Friday.

I really like the inking on the Monday strip. The tentacles feel very dimensional, and I like the overall feel of things. Though I should have probably thought twice about adding a penis monster to my strip.

If you're in Boston and looking for a good time tonight, try the Boston Comedy Festival. My brother Chris will be performing as part of the Festival - and he could sure use some fans out there to cheer him on. This is also as good a time as any to plug Chris's personal website, Yes, all the good domains were taken.

I really like the drawing in the third panel of this strip for some reason. Dunno why - it's not particularly striking or memorable, but I like it nonetheless. I also think I did a great job on the lettering in panel two. More than enough to make up for the terrible, crappy lettering in the Sunday strip. I hope.

Congratulations to my brother Crhis, who made the semifinals of the Boston Comedy Festival! He'll be performing again on Friday night, so if you're in the Boston area and looking for a good laugh, why not drop by and cheer him on?

And if you've got nothing to do Friday during the day, I'll be at the Pittsburgh Comicon all weekend. Come for me, stay for John Romita Jr.! Or is that the other way around?

Music: Koop, "Summer Sun"

...and that's the end of Heckboy. Because of a screw-up yesterday (all my fault), Graphic Smash readers get a double dose of fun, while 741.5 readers get just a single strip. And don't forget that there's a special Saturday strip tomorrow - though if you can't make it here on the weekend, it'll be doubled up on Monday anyway.

I'm at the Pittsburgh Comicon all weekend - if you're there, drop by artist's alley and say hi! I'll have convention stories and other news on Monday.
