Um, I didn't get to upload this weekend's strip until Sunday, so for those of you who are wondering what happened... The Extreme Beetle summoned his team, Ken declared the whole business ludicrous, and a mysterious voice from beyond agreed with him. That's it.

This is not the end of this particular story, by the way. It's not time travel, and it's not VR. So keep wondering...

Book: Robert Hughes, "Goya" (page 401)
Movie: Fritz Lang, "M"
Music: Leonard Nimoy, "Where is Love?"

Sigh... looked like I missed another day thanks to the potent allure of sleep. I'll have another strip up on Saturday (for real this time - it's almost done).

It's not been a good week for me. First I discover that someone else has already scratched up my newly-repaired bumper, and then today an electrical storm fries my modem. Great. Some weeks it doesn't seem worth getting out of bed...

Book: A.E. van Vogt, "The Universe Maker" (page 120)
Music: Save Ferris, "Come On Eileen"

Here's your bonus strip. Hopefully this week I won't have any unexpected interruptions and I can get back on schedule.

Book: Ovid, "The Erotic Poems" (page 90)
Music: The Aquabats, "Love Without Anger"
